Our Story

Service never really retires.

Larry Posey wore the uniform with pride. Today he wears a different kind of duty — answering the needs of his own community.

The Founder · Our Story

Larry Posey

One U.S. military veteran with a simple conviction: the people around you should never have to face hard times alone.

Larry started the Foundation to give that conviction a home. What began as showing up — handing out clothes, supporting a basketball team, organizing a prayer call — has grown into a set of programs that meet families across Mississippi exactly where they are.

He still volunteers his time with the organizations that look after those who served, and he funds the Foundation's Stone Basketball Award through his own venture, Larry's Collectibles. For Larry, giving back isn't a project — it's a way of life.

Mission & Values

Why the Foundation exists

To strengthen our community by serving veterans, lifting up youth, supporting families in need, and staying rooted in faith — together.

Service before self

The same value that defined his years in uniform now drives every event, every giveaway, every prayer.

People over programs

Programs are just the vehicle. Real people — neighbors, students, veterans — are always the point.

Faith as a foundation

Through the PrayerLine Warriors, we gather in prayer and remember that we're stronger together.

Health & awareness

From diabetes walks to wellness, we help families take care of the bodies that carry them.

Honor & dignity

Everyone we serve is treated with the respect they deserve — no exceptions, no judgment.

Local first

Wiggins, Jackson, Gulfport — we start at home, where we can see the difference we make.

Proud to volunteer alongside

Larry gives his time to the organizations that care for veterans and their families — and brings that same dedication home to the Foundation.

  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) — supporting veterans' care and benefits.
  • American Red Cross — disaster relief and community service.
  • Paralyzed Veterans of America — advocacy and quality of life for veterans with disabilities.
  • NPAF — National Patient Advocate Foundation — championing access to quality, affordable health care.
  • Wounded Warrior Alumni — standing with wounded veterans and their families.

South MS Fil-Am Chapter

Larry is an active member of the South MS Fil-Am Chapter — a Filipino-American community group celebrating friendship and service across South Mississippi.

Two flags, one heart. It's another way Larry builds bridges between communities and lives out the belief that we are stronger together.

I gave my years to service. Now I get to serve in a different way — by showing up for my own community.
